In the last 8 years since our early days of meetings in a church basement, Outloud has grown into a hub for 2SLGBTQ+ kids, teens, and adults to find a home. We have groups where youth can make friends with people like them and where parents can ask questions and navigate the feelings around their child’s coming out or transition. We speak to teachers about how to better support their students, and organize community events including St. Albert Pride, that bring everyone together. The Outloud space has quickly become a safe place for youth from all over the area to gather and be their wonderful, colourful, whole selves.
